Shuren Dojo: Sensei Steve Ng - 5th Dan Aikido
 
Steve began his Aikido training in 1991 under Sensei Barry Knight 6th Dan . He was awarded his Shodan in May 1994. He started his own aikido club in 1997 at Springer Leisure Centre at Keysborough and he was awarded his Nidan during this year.
 
He was then awarded his Sandan followed up by his Yondan in 2003. In addition to his Aikido training, Ng Sensei has trained in Judo and Taekwando during his youth. He is currently also studying and instructing in Chi Qong under the guidance of Master Ren from the Ee Thong Chi Qong School in Malaysia.
 
Beside his martial arts training, he is also a certified Shiatsu practitioner and a Deep Tissue Masseur. He is a firm believer that you should be able to heal as well as be able to cause damage to the body if need be. He is studying to be a personal trainer at the present moment.
 
In 2009 he became one of the founding members of the Eastern Aikido Association and was awarded his 5th Dan by the Aikikai Hombu in January 2017.
